Booth Awards

We like to recognize Exhibitors who help us make the Expo a great event to attend for our visitors.  The awards spark a lot of fun and friendly competition, with the end result that every year's Expo is different from the year before.

2011 Award Winners & a History of Winners

AWARDS:

  • Best of Show
  • Spectacular Regular Booth
  • Most Creative Booth
  • Most Congenial Booth
  • Best Interactive Booth
  • Exhibitors' Choice Award

Criteria For Judging:

-Best of Show - the exhibit must be eye-catching and memorable to those who view it.  There must be a unique aspect that makes it stand out above other exhibits.  The exhibit should make good use of space (not cluttered or crowded), and clearly convey information about your product and/or services.  The people staffing the exhibit should be courteous, approachable, and informative.

-Spectacular Booth has a great booth and manages to do it all in a single 10' x 10' or double 10' x 20' booth space.  The exhibit is eye-catching and stands out from other individual booths, and may be recognized for using any combination of the other awards' criteria; creativity, congeniality and interactive ideas.  Single and double booths are eligible for all awards, but this recognizes the fact that having a larger exhibit space may give an advantage to winning some of the other booth awards.

- Most Creative - there should be a unique aspect that makes it stand out above other exhibits.  It should be memorable to those who view it.  It is important that the creativity does not overshadow the exhibitor's message about their product or service, but rather is a part of it.

- Most Congenial - the staff is courteous, approachable, and informative.  They are friendly, but not overbearing.  They are dressed appropriately and give immediate attention to people entering their booth.  They practice good booth etiquette.

-Best Interactive Booth- the exhibit uses an effective and interactive idea to attract visitors to their booth.  The idea not only generates booth traffic, it is related to the company's product and targets prospective customers for their business.  Hosting a game, having a product demonstration in which the visitor participates are just some of the examples of an interactive booth.

-Exhibitors' Choice Award- Exhibitors have until 2 p.m. on Show Day to vote for their favorite booth.  Each Exhibitor gets one vote.  The morning of the show, Expo staff will place one vote sheet in each booth.  Turn in your completed ballet to the Expo Information Booth and they will be tallied up before the end of the show and the winner announced.

JUDGING COMMITTEE

Judging for all awards except the Exhibitors Choice Award is done by a volunteer committee from the Public Relations Society of America - White Pine Chapter.  Thank you to this Chapter and their members for organizing and performing the judging for the Expo.
